Baby-Adult Interaction

It is important for you to interact with your baby so he can learn to trust you and other people. It helps your baby to form a strong attachment which will lead to a higher self-esteem later in life. Babies who do not have much interaction with adults, often end up with behavior problems and a lack of trust. Below are some ideas on how to interact with your baby:

  • Meet your baby’s needs quickly so they form a sense of trust.
  • Interact with your baby in a clam matter. This will help keep your baby calm.
  • Frequently play with your baby.
  • At bedtime your could read your baby a book or rock him.
  • Keep your baby near you.
  • Talk to your baby frequently.
  • Put the baby in a baby sling carrier so he can be close to you.
  • Make eye contact with your baby.
  • Sing and dance with your baby.
